Have you missed the rumors about future graphics cards in the last few days? Don’t panic, we should get our money’s worth in the next few days. From Nvidia, the next RTX 40 cards should arrive by the end of the summer. More and more sources are betting for a top launch with the RTX 4090, 4080 and 4070 to start with.
Nvidia would launch its RTX 4090 first
In reality, this is not really a surprise since Nvidia has a habit since its last launches, to proceed in this way. But according to Kopite7kimi, NVIDIA will focus on releasing the GeForce RTX 4090 first before moving on to models equipped with RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 GPUs in a second phase (rather in the fourth quarter according to other sources). A paradoxical situation and especially painful for some since the immediate consequence would be to make the recently launched Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti obsolete. Indeed, the future Nvidia RTX 4090 should be based on the AD102 graphics chip with the new Ada Loveace architecture. These GPUs will feature TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process offering a configuration of up to 18432 CUDA cores. For comparison, the RTX 3090 Ti has 10752 CUDA cores. Some are even anticipating a very dramatic increase in performance. In fact, a GeForce RTX 4090 with almost twice as many cores is expected to be very impressive. This graphics chip will be accompanied by 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and a TDP of no less than 600W is expected. The other major question will concern the price and availability… Information that has not been rumored for the moment.
