Packaging Description:

The GSKill kit is delivered in a cardboard box with the usual color code in the spirit of the brand. One of the two black bars can be seen on the front of the box thanks to the cut-out. We can see that they are enclosed and protected in a transparent plastic protection. On the back of the box, there is also a label that informs the future buyer of the characteristics of his memory kit. Two cut-outs, at the level of the labels, allow to have the confirmation of this information.

Once the box is opened, we find our two modules perfectly protected in a transparent plastic shell. This series ” Trident Z5 NEO ” is mainly intended for AMD motherboards. It is the reference “NEO” which indicates it to us since GSKill has already used it to propose kits optimized for AMD platforms.

There are five different versions at the moment. The Trident Z5 NEO kit is available in either grey or black. In addition, you will have the choice to choose a version with or without RGB backlighting.

Our sample of the day is black and without RGB. The range goes from 5200, 5600 to 6000 MT/s. As for the timings, they also differ according to the kit, but we have the kit with the highest frequency and the tightest timings.

Features and cooling:

Our kit is clocked at 6000 MT/s, has timings of 30-38-38-96 and requires a voltage of 1.35 volts to operate. It is composed of two 16 GB modules for a total of 32 GB. We are here on full black.

The Heatspreaders are in aluminum and here of black color. They are responsible for dissipating the heat generated by the PCB composed of eight layers and the memory chips. If you have already had a G.SKill Trident kit in your hands, you will quickly notice that G.KSill has kept the same spirit in the design of the heat sink.

On both sides, we find the name of the series. A label includes some of the characteristics of our kit. Regarding the price, this kit is currently available for 454.95 euros at LDLC. It is possible to find it cheaper especially in this period of Black Friday.

On the upper part, no RGB but just the inscription G.Skill. To finish this presentation, please note that the kit is compatible with the new EXPO profiles. So do not forget to activate the profile directly via the BIOS of your motherboard.
