At CES in early January, we learned that Razer was renewing its laptops with a 2025 edition. At the time, we were talking about the Blade 16, but the brand waited until February to launch its Blade 18. This new, even more high-end version incorporates all the best-performing components on the market. Add to that a screen with varying resolution and frequency, and you’ve got a machine we’d love to try out!
Blade 18: a Core Ultra 200HX, an RTX 5090M and a 240 Hz UHD screen!
With this new laptop, Razer is offering us a version equipped with a substantial 18″ screen. The latter boasts very high definition, in UHD (3840×2400), all at 240 Hz! What’s more, it’s a Dual Mode screen that also supports FHD resolution (1920×1200) at 440 Hz!
Of course, to power such a screen, the brand is pulling out the big guns and opting for the most high-end components available on the market. The graphics part is entrusted to an RTX 5090M, the largest card in NVIDIA’s range. As a reminder, this GPU is backed up by a massive amount of VRAM: 24 GB in GDDR7!
The processor is no slouch either, with a Core Ultra 200HX. This is a Core Ultra 9 275HX, a 24-core, 24-thread model capable of turbocharging up to 5.4 GHz.
Naturally, aware of the high heat output of these components, Razer has opted for a cooling system based on a vapour chamber. This is supported by a ventilation system with three coupled fans. We’re talking about a total TDP of 280W, 175 of which are allocated to the graphics section.
Also, an all-new keyboard with switches with a longer activation travel has also been introduced. Connectivity is also very comprehensive, with two Thunderbolt ports (5 and 4), HDMI 2.1, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
As for price, you can expect to pay no less than €3,499.99 for the Blade 18. Incidentally, the brand is also announcing the price of the Blade 16, which is €2,999.99!
