StreamElements Joins Razer: A Strategic Acquisition to Build a Comprehensive Streaming Ecosystem
On July 31, 2026, Razer announced the acquisition of virtually all the assets necessary for the operation of StreamElements, one of the leading cloud-based platforms dedicated to live streaming. The deal was finalized with Live Momentum Ltd, the former holding company for the business. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result, there is no publicly available price to accurately assess the value of this acquisition. Razer is not merely acquiring a brand name or an app. The company is acquiring intellectual property rights, platform-related data, technical expertise, and various commercial documents.

StreamElements will continue to operate as an independent platform
StreamElements is used daily by millions of creators. The service provides a comprehensive toolkit for managing a live stream. In particular, it allows users to create overlays, display alerts, automate moderation with a chatbot, and receive tips. It also includes tools dedicated to merchandise, sponsored campaigns, and partnership management. However, in the short term, this acquisition is not expected to disrupt the platform’s users’ habits. The brand, team, and product will remain unchanged. Existing accounts will remain active, with the same login credentials, settings, and saved history. No migration is required.
With StreamElements, Razer is building a nearly complete ecosystem. The brand already offered the hardware used in front of the camera and around the PC. It is now adding the tools that power channels, organize communities, and facilitate monetization. Razer can thus connect peripherals, software, affiliate programs, and sponsored campaigns within a single environment.
This acquisition seems logical and is a natural extension of Razer’s Content Creator program, which was relaunched in 2024. Razer has mentioned the upcoming integration of tens of thousands of creators into this program, which will offer them exclusive benefits, direct access to teams via Discord, and reward systems tied to content creation. Min-Liang Tan, Razer’s co-founder and CEO, describes this partnership with StreamElements as the logical next step in a strategy focused on creators and live streaming.
