Corsair has completed its series of desks with the addition of a narrower model: the Platform:4. This new model is based on the principle of the original model, the Platform:6, but offers a 120 cm wide top compared with 180 cm for the first model. Of course, modularity is still at the heart of the matter!
Platform:4: a new, more compact desk!
With this new desk, Corsair is offering us a more compact reference than its first model, with a narrower top that still offers enough space to work or play. After all, 120 cm wide is always easier to fit in than 180 cm, isn’t it? As for the height, this can be adjusted if you opt for the Elevate model. It has a motor and feet for height adjustment from 73 to 121 cm. It also has a memory for storing two height profiles, so you can quickly switch from standing to sitting mode, for example. The fixed model, meanwhile, has a tabletop height of 76 cm!
As with the Platform:6, this model 4 has an aluminium T-shaped main support. This incorporates a Vesa 100-compatible screen support for ‘oversized’ screens weighing up to 12.2 kg. Of course, a range of accessories is also available, including a perforated tray that allows you to attach different supports to integrate various elements. There are also side extensions to increase the width, so you can put your PC on top. Finally, it is compatible with the various streaming accessories offered by Elgato. These include lighting.
Finally, this is a desk that also benefits from an integrated power supply with USB type A and C ports for recharging your devices. There’s also a RapidRoute system for easy cable management!
Price and availability :
Prices are not yet known. However, we expect this model to be more affordable than the Platform:6. As for colour, you can choose between a walnut, melamine or birch top with black or white legs, depending on whether the desk is fixed or sit/stand.
