We stay in the world of PC cases with Antec which offers us a new reference. On the program, we find the small NX420, a medium tower model, rather compact. Especially since the price is rather affordable!
NX420: a compact mid-range tower!
With this new model, Antec offers us a rather compact medium tower case. The dimensions of this model are : 221 (W) x 416 (D) x 463 (H) mm and a contained weight of 5 kg.
Inside, there is room to install ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards, something classic. However, for the aircooling fan, we are well placed with 175 mm free, ditto for the graphics card: 330 mm. On the power supply side, without the HDD cage, we can go up to 355 mm deep. In terms of storage, the brand puts forward up to five 2.5″ and two 3.5″ slots.
Basically, this model will arrive with a single 120 mm fan positioned at the rear, in extraction. Otherwise, you’ll have enough room in the front to install three more. At the top, the number of places is reduced to two units only.
At the watercooling level, at the front, we have enough space to install 360 mm and 280 mm radiators. Beware, however, of the length of your GPU, given the dimensions of the case, it is not impossible that one touches the other. At the top, we will be satisfied with a simple compatibility in 240 mm!
In the end, the price is rather accessible since it is announced to £55 approximately according to eTeknix
