After seeing a Ryzen 9 7900X3D on Ashes of the Singularity it is now the turn of the Ryzen 9 7950X3D to show itself. This time, we have a more reliable result, but it still doesn’t show the extent of this model’s capabilities. As a reminder, it’s really in games that 3D V-cache shows its full potential.

Ryzen 9 7950X3D: about as good as a 7950X!

Based on this single result, we discover that this 7950X3D was mounted on a Crosshair X670E Hero from Asus. Also, we don’t know if the bios was up to date and we learn that the bench was in V5. However, the memory configurations remain unknown, but we know that the CPU was running between 5.1 GHz and 5.68 GHz during the test.

As for the score, the processor shows a score of 2157 pts in single-core and 21841 pts in multi-core. Compared to its counterpart without 3D V-Cache, it is less good by about 2% in single-core and 5% in multi-core. Note also that the 7950X scores are numerous unlike the X3D where there is only one… Margins of error, etc.

Moreover, according to VideoCardz the 3D V-Cache does not show its full potential in synthetic benchmarks like GeekBench 5, but rather in games. This is what the tests of TechpowerUp and Guru3D.

Finally, we just have to wait for the official launch to get a real glimpse of the capabilities of these processors.
