NH-D12L : a new Noctua heatsink, but not only…

0

There is something new at Noctua as the Austrian brand announces two new products. Indeed, it is about a new heatsink with the NH-D12L and a new fan: the NF-A12x25r. Let’s have a look at it right now!

NH-D12L: a compact double tower in 120 mm!

Noctua NH-D12L

With this new heatsink, the brand uses the same principle as the NH-D15 however, it reduces its dimensions. The goal is to offer a double tower heatsink, but “compact” like a Scythe Fuma for example. This results in dimensions of 125 (W) x 113 (D) x 145 (H) mm.

The heatsink has two cooling towers, one of which is thicker than the other. As you can see, the goal is to limit the impact on the RAM. Nevertheless, we also have a total of five copper heatpipes of 6 mm each. They meet at a copper base, also nickel-plated, but not off-center.

Ventilation is provided by a new fan: the NF-A12x25R. In the broad lines, it is a NF-A12x25, but with a round frame. For the blow, we find the same characteristics: up to 2000 RPM, with an air flow of 102.1 m3/h and a static pressure of 2.34 mmH2O.

Finally, this fridge will be able to run on all the sockets on the market except the TR4. On the other hand, Noctua mentions an AM5 compatibility.

NF-A12x25r: the same, but with a round frame!

As you can see, we clearly recognize the shape of a NF-A12x25r with its elongated and rather curved blades. Likewise, the engine has been reinforced, as for its square counterpart. On the other hand, the frame has a round shape with mounting points in 93 x 83 mm. This means that it cannot be mounted on standard 120mm housing (or watercooling radiator) slots.

The characteristics remain unchanged compared to the square model and we mentioned them above. On the other hand, if you want to customize them with accessories Chromaxif you want to customize them with accessories, you will certainly have to turn to the NA-SAVP3.
