Microsoft prepares Surface Gaming laptops

Until now, Microsoft’s Surface range has been divided into classic and pro products. It seems that gaming will complete the offer very soon. Microsoft seems to want to enter the gaming segment with a high-end positioning (as for the rest of the family). The laptops should adopt a 16-inch PixelSense Flow panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and support for Dobly Vision. Regarding the key components, the choice will be made around Intel CPUs (for the moment we are talking about a version with a Core i7-12700H 14 cores or a Core i5-12500H 12 cores) and Nvidia RTX card.

You can get 16GB or up to 32GB of LPDDR4x memory. For the GPU, the Core i7 models will be delivered with an RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB while the Core i5 models will be delivered with an RTX 3050 Ti 4 GB. The design of the product should be particularly neat with a chassis combining the use of magnesium and aluminum. Obviously, whoever talks about gaming and Microsoft automatically understands that these laptops will come with the Xbox application and a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate pack. At this moment, no information about the prices is available. However, this range should be on sale for the fourth quarter of this year. Detailed information should be available at the Surface event on September 22.
