It’s a trend that we’ve guessed almost from the first rumors about ARC GPUs. Intel should inject some technos and optimizations to its GPUs that could make the difference in many cases. If some people immediately think of the AV1 (we’ll come back to it soon), the ARC would have other assets. Thus recently a 27″ AIO from Lenovo, equipped with an ARC A370M mobile chip gave some additional insights on performance improvement in content creation applications. The Intel Arc A370M is positioned at the entry level. The chip is equipped with 4GB of 64-bit GDDR6 memory and its TDP is said to be between 35 and 50W. ARC A370M Lenovo has released some performance figures on the Chinese product sheet that show up to 152 FPS in League of Legends at 1440p, up to 110 FPS in CSGO at 1440p and up to 142 FPS in World of Tanks at 1080p. But the numbers we’re interested in are those for content creation. These show a 30% increase in Adobe Pr (8K H.265), a 70% improvement in Davinci Resolve (4K H.264 / 4K H.265) and a 900% increase in FFMPEG. (8K H265) compared to the GeForce RTX 3050. ARC A370M AIO Obviously, Nvidia will have something to answer with its next generation. However, its schedule suggests that Intel will be rather comfortable for a few months in this field.
