MinisForum, manufacturer of mini-PCs, has announced an update of its little HX90G. As a reminder, the machine was previously equipped with a Ryzen 9 5900HX and a small RX 6650M. Now, the graphic part evolves to integrate a RX 6600M.

HX90G: now an RX 6600M in addition to the Ryzen 9 5900HX!

Minisforum HX90GAs a reminder, the brand’s trademark is to offer ultra-compact PCs. This model is no exception to the rule with its dimensions of 69.3 (W) x 205 (D) x 203 (H) mm.

In terms of components, the brand opts for an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor. As a reminder, this is a model with 8 cores with hyperthreading that can reach a frequency of 4.6 GHz.

The brand leaves the choice of several memory/storage configurations:

  • Barebone: without memory or storage
  • 16 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD
  • 32 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD
  • 64 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD

The graphics part evolves and we go from an RX 6650M to an RX 6600M. The brand communicates on the performances of the PC. Visibly, it would be possible to reach 60 FPS on GTA V in 4K or 60 FPS on The Witcher III in “2K”. However, nothing is said about the test conditions, but do not expect to play in “ultra”.

Finally, the cooling system, we find a block of aluminum fins crossed by a total of seven copper heat pipes. However, what changes from the ordinary is the TIM(Thermal Interface Material) used. Indeed, we find there liquid metal. The price will vary from $939 to $1269 (not including the crossed out price) depending on the version you choose.
