Last August, the Silverstone brand announced a new power supply. With its Hela 850R Platinum, the brand offered an 850W power supply with a 12VHPWR connector. When it was announced, the price was not known, now we know that the bill is around $215!
Hela 850R Platinum: a PCIe 5.0 block for $215!
As a reminder, with this block, we find a power supply with a comfortable power of 850W. The certification is not left out since it is a nice 80+ Platinum label. Finally, for cable management, we have the right to a fully modular power supply.
As usual, we find capacitors of Japanese origin. The PFC is active and provides a power correction factor of 90%. Similarly, we find a single 12V rail of 70.8A (849.6W). Concerning the electrical protections, we find the OCP, the OPP, the OVP, the SCP, the UVP and the OTP.
The ventilation, for its part, is entrusted to a fan of 135 mm semi-passive to 425W.
Finally, the connectivity remains complete since it has five 6+2 pin PCIe connectors for the GPUs. The CPU part benefits from a duo ofEPS12V 4+4 pins. Finally, for the peripheral part, we have eight SATA, six Molex and two Floppy. Let’s not forget to mention the 12VHPWR connector in 12+4 pins, a particularity of this model.
The bill climbs accordingly since it is on Amazon.com at about $215.21!
