Thanks to our colleagues at Videocardz, we’ve learned of the imminent arrival of a new motherboard: the TRX50 AERO D. If you’ve read our 3 p.m. brief carefully, you’ll now know that AMD is about to launch its new Threadripper series of processors ranging from 12 to 96 cores. As we mentioned, it’s only logical that the brands should announce the arrival of new motherboards.

The model announced by Gigabyte, the TRX50 AERO D, is built around the TRX50 chipset. This chipset will therefore accommodate either Threadripper 7000WX PRO or Threadripper 7000 non PRO on its sTR5 socket. It boasts four DDR5 R-DIMM-compatible memory slots, which will undoubtedly be AMD EXPO-compatible. This Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D supports PCIe 5.0 GPUs and can accommodate up to three simultaneously. There are four M.2 SSD slots. The power supply stage is made up of 16 8 4 phases.

The board is already listed on the Gigabyte website, but is not due to arrive until the end of November. If you’d like to see the full specifications, please follow this link. As for the price, we have not yet received any information.
