At the moment, the AM5 motherboard bios updates are coming in one after the other. This time, they concern Gigabyte which updates its motherboards. The goal of the maneuver: to bring support for 24/48 GB memory modules. Gigabyte is doing the same as MSI on these boards.

Once the update is done, you will be able to take advantage of the large capacity memory kits. Each DIMM slot on your board will be able to accommodate 24GB or 48GB RAM modules. If all the slots are occupied, the maximum supported memory capacity will be 192 GB or 96 GB for ITX format cards… Since they only have two memory slots.

Finally, we note that this update concerns the X670/E, B650/E and A620 motherboards of the brand.
