Earlier this morning, we learned that Galax was ceasing its GPU activities. This conclusion seems a little too far-fetched, since the company has just issued a press release indicating that the brand is continuing its operations. In fact, the parent company, Palit, is simply taking control of operations.
Galax continues, Palit takes over!
Unified management!

Clearly, we’re not dealing with a cessation of activity as we originally thought. In fact, Galax is continuing its operations in the graphics card sector, and the brand’s press release is clear: “We continue to develop, produce and support our award-winning high-performance hardware”. No, what’s happening here is more of an internal restructuring, with management of the brand now being entrusted to Palit, the parent company of the group of the same name. The aim, according to the press release, is to improve efficiency and offer greater synergy between the group’s brands.
In any case, management of the Galax, KFA² and HOF brands is entrusted to the head office. In so doing, the company hopes to strengthen its global presence, not weaken it, especially as boards from the HOF, Metal Master and other series will continue to be sold as normal.
What about the future?
Until now, Galax has been an independent brand within the Palit Group. But we can assume that, for reasons of cost rationalization, some models will be shared by the group’s various brands. It’s not impossible that the brand’s positioning will be adjusted over time. This is all the more the case given the rumours that the HOF OC Lab division is in difficulty, with a number of staff departures. This would jeopardize the development of future HOF boards.
In any case, with Palit in charge, the brand is set to evolve, and all that remains to be seen is in what direction.
