Galax has announced a new series of graphics cards in its ‘Fire’ range. Behind this name, the company is inaugurating the series with an RTX 5070. The design is all black. What’s more, while the length of the card may seem substantial, it’s a model that won’t be more than two slots thick!
RTX 5070 ‘Fire’: a new arrival from Galax!
With this new card, the Galax brand is offering us a reference with a sober appearance, as we can see. It features an all-black casing combining different textures, including one that imitates carbon fibre. Around the central fan, we find a sort of crown that will be partially found around the other two fans at the ends of the heatsink.
In terms of format, the card will occupy a total of two slots in a PC case… Which, in view of current models, is pretty slim. However, beware of the length, which promises to be considerable at 30 cm. Finally, Galax has applied a backplate to the back, which will be perforated over 2/3 of its length.
In short, we’re clearly dealing with an entry-level series, and why not an MSRP card? As you can see, the card has no special tricks, no RGB lighting or anything else. Even the card’s frequencies are conservative, with a boost frequency announced at 2512 MHz and the TBP at 250W, values in line with NVIDIA’s reference card.
