Corsair expands its Frame 4000D case range with two new versions of its new flagship model. With the 4000X RS, we find a version whose front panel is a little flashy, with transparent vents diffusing RGB lighting. There’s also a Wood version, with a much more sober and classy wooden grille on the front panel!

4000X RS: a flashy front panel!

The X RS version now boasts an ” RGB Flow ” front panel, featuring a transparent ventilation grille to diffuse RGB lighting. What’s more, the latter features large openings designed to maximize air intake for maximum cooling. Of course, there’s also a dust filter to keep contamination to a minimum.

This X RS version also benefits from full ventilation, with a total of four RS120 fans mounted inside.

This model is not cheap, priced at €174.27.

4000D Wood: much more sober wood!

Corsair Frame 4000D Wood

The Wood version of the case is much more sober, featuring a wooden front grille. This is made up of wide strips of real wood that cover the front of the Frame 4000D. Clearly, this is a version that will fit comfortably into a living room, unlike the 4000X RS, whose design is perhaps a little too… showy. Flashy.

In any case, compared with the original case priced at €99.90, or even €104.90 with RS fans, the bill rises a notch to €161.82. But we’re still keeping four RS120 fans.

A case that retains its features:

Despite the new fronts, the case itself remains unchanged. Indeed, it retains the same dimensions as the original versions: 239 (W) x 490 (D) x 486 (H) mm. It will support ATX motherboards, 430 mm-long graphics cards and a 170 mm-high CPU cooling unit. The GPU will have its own dedicated support, while a total of thirteen 120 mm fans and 360 mm watercooling radiators can be installed.
