According to MEGAsizeGPU, the RTX 5070 from NVIDIA has been postponed. Indeed, the card, which was expected in February, should finally arrive in March. These rumours aren’t exactly reassuring, especially when it comes to stock levels.

RTX 5070: towards a March launch?

RTX 5070

Initially, we were expecting the Ti version to be released first, on February 20, while the non-Ti version would have seen the light of day a week later, still in February. However, it would appear that there has been a change of plan, with the card not due to be launched until March… like AMD’s RX 9000s, for that matter.

This rumour seems all the more likely given that we haven’t yet had any leaks on the card. While the Ti is already available from GrosBill and Cybertek (French Resellers), this model is not. If the launch were to take place in February, we should already be able to get our hands on it, but that’s not the case.

This raises a few concerns about the amount of stock available for the card. Already, the launch of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 didn’t go well due to a lack of stock, so it would be a shame if this were to happen again with these mid-range/high-end models. What’s more, if the RTX 5070(Ti) are sold out, this will leave the field wide open for AMD, which has been supplying shops since mid-January, as we reported here.

The greens are therefore under pressure in the mid-range sector, since in addition to larger stocks, the red cards will benefit from aggressive pricing. Expect to pay $599 for the 9070 XT, compared with $499 for the non-XT… All the more so as, in terms of performance, we would be entitled to a solid offering in terms of rasterisation, but a little less so in terms of ray tracing.
