Following XPG’s announcement of its Novakey RAM, TeamGroup unveils new memory configurations for an existing series. We’re talking about the Elite Plus RAM, now available with frequencies of up to 8000 MT/s. We learn that they are JEDEC-compatible, which should maximize compatibility with Intel and AMD motherboards.

Elite Plus: up to 8000 MT/s!

Compact, space-saving RAM:

TeamGroup Elite Plus 8000 MT/sWith these memory kits, TeamGroup offers sober RAM without RGB lighting. This is a good thing, as it limits the height of the unit and avoids incompatibility problems with a cpu cooler, for example. What’s more, two colors are offered, with white kits and black models… Although it’s the color of the sticker on the heat sink that changes.

In terms of specifications, we’re dealing with 2×16 GB configurations, all designed for dual-channel operation. As we said, the frequency is 8000 MT/s, coupled with CL56-56-56-128 timings. As for voltage, we’re talking about 1.1V.

In the meantime, this configuration is put to the test on systems running a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus on a ROG Maximus Z890 Hero and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D on a ROG X870E Dark Hero.

Once again, the RAM prices…

Unfortunately, this is not a good time to launch new memory kits. As you know, the market is tight due to the huge appetites of the AI industry. At present, 2×16 GB kits run at around €400, all for frequencies of 6000 MT/s… So a kit that spins at 8000 MT/s is bound to cost more. So we wonder what the final price of this kit will be when it hits the market next June.
