Slovenian brand EKWB offers us a new waterblock reference with its EK-Pro WB 1700. This model is designed for the professional world, and more specifically for Intel’s LGA-1700 platform!
EK-Pro WB 1700: a block for socket LGA-1700!
With this model, the brand offers us a single-socket reference, since the mounting mechanism is directly integrated into the block. Consequently, it is designed exclusively for Intel socket LGA-1700 and cannot be adapted to other platforms.
Otherwise, like all other references in the series, we’re treated to a stainless steel top. The base, on the other hand, is in nickel-plated copper.
On top, we have our standard G1/4″ inputs/outputs. This location will limit its integration in the most compact server racks. It is therefore intended for larger workstations, PCs and servers.
Inside, the brand uses a cooling engine derived from its EK-Quantum Volocity² series. The latter offers low liquid restriction, enabling good efficiency with weaker pumps or running at lower speeds. That’s what the brand’s marketing says.
Now for the price, beware, as the bill promises to be steep. The block in question is priced at €157.90!
