We were waiting for it and it has finally arrived, the waterblock for the Intel ARC A770 and A750 graphics cards that we had the opportunity to review. We knew that EK was working on a block that is available since yesterday, it is the EK-Quantum Vector² ARC A750/A770 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi which will be sold at a price of 244 euros. It is currently a pre-order with a delivery scheduled for mid-December.
Returning to the Intel cards, the A750 version is available at LDLC at 380 euros in stock while the A770 is priced at 460 euros but out of stock. Even if a liquid cooling solution is still very interesting, the price here is likely to sting if you add the price of the graphics card with the waterblock . For the Intel ARC A770 Limited Edition we will reach 700 euros! It might have been interesting to see EK get closer to Intel in order to propose a card directly equipped with this waterblock.
The other point to highlight is the complexity of removing the original cooling system of the Intel ARC. We could see the pictures of some colleagues who have done it and it is quite long and far from being obvious. We will come back very soon on the performance of the ARC A770 Limited Edition since the latest drivers seem promising. We will also try to get our hands on a copy of the EK-Quantum Vector² ARC A750/A770 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi to give you our opinion.
