Like Corsair, Cougar offers its own case with a removable pegboard module. On the latter, it will be possible to stow and store various items such as controllers or speakers via dedicated platforms. In short, the brand’s E-Ares 120 desktop!
E-Ares 120: a case with a dedicated pegboard!
With this desk, the brand offers us a rather compact reference with a top measuring 120×60 cm. It features a wear-resistant carbon-fiber-effect coating and aRGB lighting on the front edge of the top. To enhance your installation, a set of cable tidies is also included. If properly exploited, you’ll be spared the large sets of cables that fall behind the desk.
This is also a sit/stand desk with an electric motor and memory for storing four different positions. The height of the tabletop can be adjusted from 73 to 118 cm. Otherwise, the unit can support up to 80 kg of equipment, more than enough to accommodate a large PC, monitor and all the rest of the setup.
With this, we find an optional pegboard that comes with various accessories. The aim here is to be able to store various accessories, such as a joystick, for example. Likewise, on the sides, we find two shelves that can be used to hold speakers, for example… Or any other accessory of your choice.
Of course, there’s always the question of the selling price of such a desk, and the same goes for its pegboard. So far, the only reference we have is Corsair’s Platform:4, whose accessories aren’t cheap. Corsair’s pegboard costs €350, including storage accessories. If Cougar can come up with a lower price, that would be good news!
