Blizzard has just announced the recommended system requirements to run their upcoming title: Diablo IV. We now know what type of machine you will need at launch to hope to run the game.

Diablo IV, the configs :

Diablo IV Intel Arc Graphics Driver 101.4148The common point between all the configurations concerns the storage space required, which is 90 GB. Blizzard recommends using an SSD for this. Clearly, the goal is to gain in comfort by reducing possible loading times to a maximum. Otherwise you will need a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card and run on Windows 10 at least.

Now that all this is said, we can move on to the minimum configuration that will allow us to play in 1080p with 720p rendering, with low graphics and at 30 FPS. For this, we go back in time with CPUs based on Core i5 2500K and FX 8350. As for memory, you need 8 GB of memory and a GTX 660 or R9 280. The typical configuration of the years 2012, 2013.

In medium now, we expect to play at 60 FPS with medium detail, still in 1080p. In these conditions, it will be necessary to double the memory capacity of the PC by going to 16 GB. The CPU part progresses and will require a Core i5 4670K or a Ryzen 3 1300X. For the graphics part, we find a GTX 970 as well as an RX 470.

To play in high resolution, always in 1080p at 60 frames/sec, we arrive on slightly more recent hardware. This time, the processor should be equivalent to a Core i7 8700K or a Ryzen 7 2700X. As for the graphics card, an RTX 2060 or an RX 5700 XT will be necessary, but there is no increase in RAM capacity.

In UHD (ultra at 60 FPS) now, the graphics requirements skyrocket. Blizzard recommends using an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT. However, RTX 40s will be required to enable DLSS 3. There is no change in the requirements on the CPU side, however, the memory part increases to 32 GB.

As a reminder, the game is scheduled for release in France on June 6, 2023. In addition, the studio is planning a new open BETA phase ” Server Slam ” which will take place from May 12 to 14. With a name like that, we can imagine that the goal behind all this is to test the stability of the servers!
