Clearly, with its DA1000, Silverstone leaves us with the feeling that they want to offer a high power PSU at a lower cost. Indeed, the power supply in question displays a “small” 80+ Gold certification and a semi-modular cable management!
DA1000: a high-powered block that promises to be “accessible”!
With this new model, Silverstone offers us a rather atypical power supply. Indeed, with its 1000W power, we could expect a high-end version, but not really. Here, the brand does its best to preserve costs and lower the entry ticket of its model.
As it is, we have an 80+ Gold certified block where we usually find 80+ Platinum on these powers. The cable management is semi-modular, so the 24-pinATX and an EPS12V connector remain connected to the block. Finally, to reduce costs, the ventilation is 100% active, however, its speed will really increase only from 60% load.
Otherwise, internally, this model has a single 12V rail of 83.33A (999.66W) and the PFC shows 90%. Finally, we have the right to a whole panoply of protections in any kind: OCP, OVP, OPP, SCP, UVP, OTP, no load operation.
It only remains to see the selling price of this reference, nevertheless, considering the power, it should not be very high.
