XENEON 32QHD165: the first gaming monitor from Corsair

As you may have noticed, Corsair has shifted into high gear in recent years. The brand is much more visible and has expanded its product portfolio thanks to numerous acquisitions. This time, it’s not an acquisition but the arrival of a new product family as Corsair officially enters the monitor market. So the gaming monitor is a strong market lately but we have seen that it is not enough for an “entrant” to put its name to attract the favors of the market.

First observation, Corsair attacks the market from the top by arriving with a 32″ 1440P at 165Hz. The panel, “Quantum Dot”, lets us think that we are on a panel of Samsung origin, the frequency “165Hz” being an OC of references to 144Hz that we find on the market. But we will wait for a complete test to dig these elements.

XENEON 32QHD165 Finally, as far as the design is concerned, contrary to what we have seen at Razer, we are on a sober aesthetic and probably much more consensual. The adjustable height support, offering rotation and tilt is an undeniable plus.

XENEON 32QHD165 Finally, the XENEON is compatible with the RGB ecosystem of the brand and can thus cohabit with the Stream Deck of Elgato and the “bright” features iCUE Nexus. In the “good points” section, we note the presence of a VESA support and a 3-year warranty “Zero dead Pixels”. Corsair XENEON 32QHD165 technical sheet:

A (too?) Premium positioning

When making a first opinion, we will obviously look at the price. Corsair announces on its own website the price of 799€… It’s expensive. So we know that the American brand regularly animates its products in its distribution network, but the positioning is still problematic compared to what the competition is producing at the moment, especially on higher resolutions.
