Core Ultra 7 165H: more Meteor Lake in the benchmark!

New leak related to the upcoming Meteor Lake processors. Last time, we previewed the Core Ultra 7 155H on Cinebench R20. This time, a benchmark of the Core Ultra 7 165H is on the loose. This is the model just above the 155H.

Core Ultra 7 165H: a low score on Geekbench!

Intel Core Ultra 7 165H

For the record, the Core Ultra 7 165H will share the same configuration as the Ultra 7 155H. This means we’ll have a 16-core processor in total, with the following 6P8E configuration. Of course, two SoC cores will also be present to support the whole. The main difference with the 155H lies in this model’s operating frequency. In boost mode, it reaches 5.00 GHz, compared with 4.8 GHz for the other model.

In terms of performance, on Geekbench, this translates into scores of 2502 pts in single core versus 12545 pts in multi-core. Against an engineering sample of the same model, scores are relatively stable, with little variation. However, compared with the 155H, we have very similar performance, with a multi-core score of 12853 pts for the smallest Core Ultra 7. On the other hand, the 165H takes the lead in single-core.

In itself, this almost identical performance can be explained by the fact that the processors share the same architecture and the same number of cores. It’s only the frequency that differentiates them, and in this respect, their performance depends mainly on the platform and cooling they’ve been tested with.
