Let’s take a short break from CES to (re)talk about a CPU cooler that was in the news last month. In fact, in mid-December 2024, Cooler Master announced a new cooler, the Hyper 612 Apex, a new, particularly well-designed reference. This time, via ITHome, we learn that this model is on sale in China at a price of 369 yuan.

With this cooler, the brand announced a reference with a particularly meticulous design. As you can see, the whole thing is sober, with an attractive hood covering the entire upper part, even the fans. In fact, the latter are not spared: as you can see, the front fan also benefits from a frame concealing its mounting holes.
Otherwise, in terms of dimensions, we’re dealing with a rather reasonable model, measuring 127 (W) x 114 (D) x 159 (H) mm. These dimensions allow the heatsink to be fully compatible with memory, as it won’t overlap your motherboard’s DIMM slots. It should also be said that the base is slightly eccentric, which helps greatly.
Otherwise, as can be seen, the radiator has an all-black coating, while the aluminum fin structure is crossed by a total of six copper heat pipes, each 6 mm thick.
Ventilation is entrusted to a pair of Mobius 120P fans. These will run from 0 to 2400 rpm, generating an airflow of 75.2 CFM and a pressure of 3.63 mmH2O.
As far as mounting is concerned, it is compatible with maintstream sockets. It can therefore be mounted on LGA-1851/1700/1200/115x and AM4/AM5 motherboards.
All that’s left to talk about is the price, as this model is priced at 369 yuan in China, giving us a price of €48.7 after conversion. Clearly, if it arrives in France, we don’t see it at this price, which seems far too aggressive. Currently, a MA612 Stealth costs a minimum of €70!
