From Cooler Master, we learn that the company is announcing a new heatsink. This time, the company has turned its attention toaircooling, and has come up with the Hyper 612 Apex, a reference that promises to be particularly successful, as we shall see. This is a single-tower model with two 120 mm fans. What’s more, the finish seems to be just right!

Hyper 612 Apex: the perfect ventirad!

Cooler Master Hyper 612 ApexAs you can see, the finish really looks top-notch, while the aesthetic aspect is very meticulous. The first ventirad is covered by the radiator’s top cover, while the second has a dedicated, removable cover. It’s also worth noting that the mills have a grey fairing to hide the frame as much as possible. Last but not least, the aluminum fins, heatpipes and mounting tab are finished in an attractive matte black finish!

In terms of dimensions, despite its massive appearance, the heatsink is actually quite compact. It measures 127 (W) x 114 (D) x 159 (H) mm. The brand claims a depth reduced by 30%, making it compatible with any memory slot.

The heat sink features a total of six 6 mm copper heat pipes. These meet at a copper base that will be slightly eccentric to maximize memory compatibility.

As for ventilation, the brand features a Mobius 120P push/pull fan. These fans operate from 0 to 2400 rpm. At full speed, airflow will rise to 75.2 CFM, while static pressure will peak at 3.63 mmH2O. This should blow hard, but will it blow silently? Good question… Although, generally speaking, Cooler Master hasn’t impressed us with any particularly noticeable noise pollution.
