As you know, Noctua’s historic colors are brown and beige. However, these colors are quite divisive: either you like them, or you don’t at all. Since then, the brand has been offering black series of its products, initially in the form of an Industrial PPC series with very pro-oriented features, and for the general public, we’ve had the right to the chromax.black series, the latest products of which were released yesterday. But, for a while, the brand had tried its hand at a white chromax.white series, of which we’ve heard no more… Until today!
chromax.white: no plans for this series!
For our part, traces of a white product series date back to Computex 2019, but it seems that the first appearances of these products date back to CES. In any case, following the example of the chromax.black series, the aim was to offer a series of all-white fans and, why not, CPU coolers. In any case, we already have some white accessories, including NA-SAV2 siliconized nipples for mounting fans, and silent blocs, also for fans.
But we’re still waiting for white fans and CPU coolers. The last update in our possession dates back to 2024, when the brand indicated that it had put the project on hold. However, the company seemed to be hesitating whether or not to continue the project, as we reported here.
Finally, in response to a comment following the announcement of G2 products in chromax.black, we learn the news: Noctua has no plans for the white series. We can therefore assume that the company has no plans to launch it in the near future. It remains to be seen what lies behind this decision. Is it due to technical constraints? Is it because of unfavorable sales prospects? The mystery remains.
