Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the license’s new opus, will be arriving soon, on November 13 to be precise. To mark the occasion, the hardware configurations required to run it have been published. So, do you have the necessary configuration to run it? Likewise, will it be a greedy game? We’ll take a look.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7: what about the hardware to run it?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

The first thing to remember is that the minimum configuration is very light, based on Ryzen 5 1400 and/or Core i5 6600 CPUs. On the RAM side, you’ll need a minimum of 8 GB, while graphics require an RX 470, GTX 970/1060 or Arc A580. In any case, with graphics settings at minimum, the game will consume just 3 GB of VRAM.

To reach 60 FPS with most graphics parameters set to high, an old Ryzen 5 1600X or Core i7 6700K will be required. As a reminder, these are processors from 2015 and 2017 respectively. On the other hand, the graphics part is becoming more demanding, and we’re starting to hear talk of RX 6600 XT, RTX 3060 or Arc B580. As for the VRAM capacity required, this has risen to 8 GB.

Finally, to play in UHD or at very high frequencies, here, a Ryzen 5 5600X or a Core i7 10700K are required. As for graphics, we’re talking RX 9070 XT, RTX 4080 or RTX 5070. VRAM capacity is important: 16 GB, but the aim is to be able to display the game in very high resolution. Finally, we’re also talking about 16 GB RAM, a capacity that should be found in all PCs today.

You’ll also need to allow plenty of room on your storage media, since 116 GB of SSD are required at launch.

In addition, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are required to play the game, for anti-cheat reasons (which will be quickly bypassed). For Arc GPUs , you’ll need to activate Resizable Bar, while the game will only run on Intel and AMD processors that support AVX instructions. Finally, you’ll need to install AMD 25.9.2, NVIDIA 281.42 and Intel 101.8132 drivers at the very least… Although drivers with specific optimizations are or will be released between now and launch.
