B660M-Silver: a new micro-ATX board for Biostar!

Biostar B660M SilverWith this model, we find a motherboard in micro-ATX format for the Core i of twelfth generation. This model has a B660 chipset and a LGA-1700 socket.

On top, the connectivity remains quite classical with four memory slots. However, we find DDR4 slots and not DDR5. They will take up to 128 GB of memory clocked at up to 5000 MT/s. The rest of the connectivity highlights a first PCIe 5.0 x16 as well as a second to the 3.0 standard in x1. The last one will be an x16 connector running on the 3.0 standard.

The storage part has four SATA III 90° and two M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. However, only the connector below the socket has a heatsink.

On the rear, Biostar has positioned all kinds of video outputs. Thus, we find HDMI, DisplayPort and even DVI. Otherwise, there are WiFi antenna ports, a PS2 combo, five USB 3.2 Gen2 type A, one USB 3.2 Gen2 type C and two USB 2.0. The Ethernet benefits from a Realtek RTL8125B chip and the audio from an ALC1220 in 7.1.

The only thing left to see is the price, but on paper, this model offers everything you need to build a decent little machine.
