Dell’s AW2524HF is a new Alienware display. It’s clearly geared towards video games, with a very high display frequency of 500 Hz. So you can see at least three frames ahead of your CS opponent!
AW2524HF: the Alienware screen that displays fast!
The characteristics of this screen are quite classic. Yes, it’s a reference with a 24″ panel and 1080p resolution. The IPS slab is not curved, but it is AMD FreeSync Premium compatible. So far, it hasn’t broken the bank, but that’s because we haven’t yet mentioned its frequency: 500 Hz (480 Hz native). Perfectly smooth gaming! This is clearly a monitor for pure gaming use.
Alongside this, the display boasts a brightness of 400 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Viewing angles are 178° horizontal/vertical. As for color gamut, Dell claims 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum and HDR10 compliance.
Naturally, the screen comes with a stand that can be adjusted in all directions. Connectivity features two DisplayPort 1.4 as well as HDMI 2.1 and five USB 3.2 Gen1 ports.
Pricing is based on $649.99. Note that its NVIDIA G-Sync counterpart is listed at $699.99 on Dell’s store.
