The ASUS ROG brand will soon be celebrating its 20th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, we’re getting ready for the arrival of a new range of limited-edition motherboards. The shared images feature copper hues, an old-fashioned Republic of Gamers logo and a 20 Anniversary reminder. But following the recent EEC registration, are we really surprised?

Towards an ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20?

Black and copper shades?

ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20With this board, we’re expecting a top-of-the-range reference, since the aim of this model is to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary in style. To this end, ASUS has paid tribute to its very first ROG Crosshair board, using the same logo on the chipset heatsink, for example. In the same vein, we find copper tones, a nod to the copper heatsinks used on the board at the time. Of course, a small 20 Anniversary logo is present on what appears to be the VRM heatsink.

In the meantime, full detailed specifications have not been released, and the visuals of the board have yet to be revealed. However, if the EEC recording is anything to go by, we’ll have not one, but two boards with a hypothetical ROG Crosshair 2006. It remains to be seen whether this is just a case of filler on the manufacturer’s part.

Price, quantity, availability?

For the time being, we have no information to share on the subject, however, we can expect a limited edition product whose production quantities are as yet unknown. Let’s hope that the card will actually be available for purchase and that the vast majority of copies will not end up in the hands of influencers (who, it has to be said, can be a bit bogus). In any case, we expect the card to be on display on the ASUS stand at Computex this year.
