From ASUS, we learn that the company will further reduce production of its RTX 5070 Ti. The company has decided to concentrate more on the RTX 5080. So expect more aggressive marketing of this card from the brand… Especially as new models are set to appear. We’re talking here about a Master EVO model.
ASUS: fewer RTX 5070 Ti, more RTX 5080!
Prioritization of large 16 GB cards!
Broadly speaking, ASUS continues its alignment with NVIDIA’s policy of prioritizing the largest GPU when several references share the same memory capacity. As the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 both benefit from 16 GB VRAM, the emphasis is on the 5080.
In the not-too-distant future, we can therefore expect to see fewer and fewer 5070 Ti in circulation. The brand is likely to concentrate more on mainstream models, by which I mean entry-level series such as the Prime and Evo models. In concrete terms, Strix and TUF Gaming versions are likely to be increasingly rare in stores.
More marketing for the RTX 5080?
Obviously, with this focus on the 5080, we can expect ASUS marketing to revolve more around this card. We also expect the arrival of new models, and even the highlighting of this model in promotional campaigns or sales. Speaking of new models, there are rumors that ASUS may offer a Master Evo version of the 5080, but it remains to be seen what we’ll be dealing with.
Stable production at NVIDIA:
Despite memory supply difficulties, NVIDIA has announced that production of its RTX 50s remains stable across all models. Beware, however: while production remains stable, it is, in absolute terms, running at a slower pace. As we told you last April, GPU production was still 40% down on the pre-crisis situation. It is this reduction that is forcing the brand’s partners to adapt and prioritize certain references.
