ASUS, which has taken over Intel’s NUC business , has just announced a new Core Ultra 9 285H-based machine. It’s a compact, high-performance machine with a 16-core CPU capable of speeds up to 5.4 GHz. The ideal configuration if you want to work with peace of mind!
NUC 15 Pro: Core Ultra 9 285H on board!
When you say NUC, you also say compact machine, and compactness is the order of the day with this new series. These PCs measure 144 (W) x 112 (D) x 42 (H) mm. If you want, you can easily take it to the hotel to work from the TV in your room, for example!
Internally, ASUS has opted for an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, an Arrow Lake CPU. This will feature a total of 6 P-Cores coupled with 8 E-Cores and 2 ULP cores. In terms of frequency, this processor boasts a turbo frequency of 5.4 GHz, compared with a base frequency of 2.9 GHz.
There’s no room for dedicated graphics here, so we’ll have to make do with the processor’s iGPU.
In any case, this part will be supported by DDR5 SO-DIMM memory, which will run at up to 6400 MT/s. As for storage, we’ll be featuring two M.2s, one in 2280 size with a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface. The second will run at the 4.0 x4 standard, but will be limited in size: 2242.
To ensure the cooling of this little world, we find a heatsink equipped with a total of three 8 mm heat pipes. Ventilation is provided by a 70 mm turbine fan blowing on two small sets of aluminum fins.
Connectivity is based on a set of four USB-A ports of varying standards, coupled with three USB-C ports, two of which are Thunderbolt 4. For display purposes, two HDMI 2.1s are provided, while 2.5 GbE Ehternet (Intel i226) and WiFi 7 are also present.
The price is 7,299 yuan, or around $1014!
