Currently, in the United States, via the reseller Newegg, we find a RX 7900 XT Phantom Gaming at about $830. This news echoes yesterday’s news where price drops on AMD’s hardware were felt.
RX 7900 XT Phantom Gaming, an ASRock card displayed 8% under MSRP!
As we told you yesterday, in China, there are already significant price drops on AMD hardware. In the Middle Kingdom, the RX 7900 XT are already 19% lower than their advertised price. This drop is also starting to be felt in the United States. Currently, at Newegg, the ASRock 7900 XT Phantom Gaming is available from $830. This is already an 8% drop from its MSRP.
Via our colleagues at Wccftech aSRock is not the only player to have started lowering its prices. It is also the case of XFX whose Merc310 model is $849.99… Not to mention the MBA (Made by AMD) models, also on promotion, but still more expensive than the custom cards… Go figure.
Anyway, if the brands come to lower their prices, it’s because the product as it is, doesn’t manage to convince. It must be said that launching $899 cards in the middle of inflation is ballsy, as we say in the business, as people are more concerned about what they’re going to put on their plates than on their PCs.
