Asetek took advantage of Computex to unveil its new generation of pumps for AIO liquid cooling kits. It will be called Ingrid . With Ingrid, we are introducing a platform-based approach that meets the needs of B2B customers, OEM partners and PC enthusiasts alike,” said André Sloth Eriksen, CEO and founder of Asetek. This is our most successful acoustic and installation experience to date, and a foundation that we will continue to build on.

As you know, Asetek has been a solutions provider for a number of major brands for many years. Until now, the company has been protected by a patent, which gives it a certain weight; this patent is being withdrawn this year, which will push the company to innovate in order to maintain its position. That’s what the new Ingrid generation is all about.
The platform incorporates a liquid temperature sensor, a unique innovation in the all-in-one systems market. If the coolant temperature exceeds the target, the system intelligently increases the pump speed to compensate, reducing noisy fan starts and improving thermal stability. The sensor can also transmit data to digital monitoring tools, enabling professional-quality telemetry and the integration of gadgets (understandably, LCD screens on waterblocks are a thing of the past). This solution offers higher levels of customisation than the company’s previous designs.
Asetek has also indicated that its solution has the capacity to withstand thermal loads of up to 400W, making it ready for overclocking.
In its communication, the company talks more about a platform than a simple pump. It is in fact a pump and turbine assembly that has been entirely newly designed. This assembly is moulded using a new patent-pending technology. Among the other advantages that Asetek has highlighted for this new generation, the pump/waterblock assembly benefits from improved balance, reduced vibration and the absence of spool whistling. Asetek claims to have made its new pump much quieter than previous generations. They are now being offered to brands to design their new AIO kits.
