Apolar 120 aRGB: a new fan from Cougar!

In this new year of 2024, the Cougar brand presents us with a new product: a fan. On the program is the Apolar 120, a 12 cm mill with an unlikely look… In addition to all the bells and whistles, with its cable-free connection via the frame, etc., it’s a real eye-catcher.

With this fan, Cougar offers us a 120 mm mill. However, the 28 mm frame is a little thicker than usual. This is due in part to the frame’s original design, notably its vibration-damping system. In fact, the brand seems to draw a great deal of inspiration from Alphacool and its Apex in particular.

For the rest, the mill features a total of 7 fairly wide blades. They also feature grooves at their tips, similar to the Flow Acceleration Channels found on Noctua mills.

For the rest, connection is via the frame, using connectors integrated into the frame. There’s even a system of clips to hold the fans together.

In terms of characteristics, the speed range is between 600 rpm and 2200 rpm. At full speed, airflow reaches 75.38 CFM, while static pressure rises to 2.59 mmH2O. Naturally, these are managed by a PWM signal.

For the moment, no price is known. All we know is that they will be offered in packs of three or individually, all in black or white.
