SteelSeries completes its offer of keyboards with the addition of the Apex 9. Under this name are actually two new compact keyboards with TKL and 60% models. Let’s see what the brand has in store for us!
Apex 9 : two new keyboards for SteelSeries!
The brand innovates by offering us these two new keyboards. The novelty is in the OptiPoint optical switches. Indeed, the user will be able to choose the height of the accentuation point of his keyboard according to two levels: 1 mm or 1.5 mm. This height is determined in the software and can be done key by key. Otherwise, the brand emphasizes the responsiveness of its newcomers with a response time of only 0.2 ms.
For the rest, we should find a neat construction with the layer plate in “aircraft quality” aluminum … Especially since the double injection PBT is part of the party for the keys and that, it is clearly pleasing.
Otherwise, internally, we have a memory allowing the storage of five different profiles. Also, the keyboards are equipped with a 32-bit ARM CPU.
Finally, we will retain a detachable and sheathed USB cord as well as the presence of a housing for the switches puller. Yes, the switches are completely hot swappable to customize the typing of your model. Finally, the bill rises to 149,99 € for the TKL version against 139,99 € for the 60% model.
