After announcing its first SSD working with a PCIe 5.0 interface, Gigabyte announces another product. This time, it is about an AIC (Add In Card), equipped with four M.2 slots, all working with the new PCIe standard. So here is the Aorus GEN5 AIC!

Aorus GEN5 AIC: a PCIe 5.0 card with four M.2!

Aorus GEN5 AICThe principle of an AIC is well known, as it is a PCIe card with several M.2 connectors. This model is no exception to the rule with its four ports. However, its particularity is to be compatible with the 5.0 PCIe standard.

As you can see, the card in question has a PCIe x16 interface allowing the four slots to function at their full potential. In addition, it will be possible to configure a RAID mode to reach speeds of 60 GB/s.

Under this nice aluminum shell, Gigabyte offers a cooling system with dual thermal pads. Otherwise, a small blower-type fan is present at the back to bring some fresh air to the whole. Of course, it will be possible to monitor temperatures, performance, etc., via a software suite.

For now, we do not know the selling price and the brand has not yet posted the technical data sheet. However, PCIe 4. 0 and PCIe 3. 0 backwards compatibility is included.
