An RTX 5060 SUPER also in the works?

A few hours ago, we reported on Nvidia’s plans to “refresh” its RTX 50 range with the 5070, 5070 Ti and 5080 Super, and now it seems that the entry-level range may also be going Super. All in all, if all the rumors were to be confirmed, this would mean that the entire RTX 50 range (with the exception of the 5050) would undergo a ruper refresh. Although technically credible (you all know our thoughts on the RTX 5060), the source behind this leak is far less reliable than previous revelations about the RTX 50 Super. We therefore urge you to remain cautious.

RTX 5060 vs RX 9060 XT 8gb

As much as the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti give us the impression that Nvidia is looking more to complete its offer than to replace existing cards, around the 5060, we have to admit that the greens have a problem. As we’ve said on several occasions, its low memory endowment, at just 8 GB, guarantees that some gamers will run into problems with new games. In fact, the product’s general reception has been rather frosty. We must also acknowledge that AMD has played smart with its RX 9060XT. Although the latter also has an 8GB configuration, its 16GB version is affordable and, above all, is positioned almost on a par with the top-of-the-range Greens, namely the 5060Ti. As we said in previous articles, Nvidia’s RTX 50 SUPER series is unlikely to see the light of day in the near future. Its launch is expected for early 2026, twelve months after the introduction of Nvidia’s initial RTX 50 series. Technical details are still subject to change. Some people are talking about RTX 50 Super for the end of the year; here again, we’re just speculating, but if this were the case, the arrival of these references would only be as part of a range complement, not a refresh.

According to the data revealed by this new leak, the RTX 5060 SUPER is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory and 32 SMs units. This gives the GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER a total of 4096 CUDA cores. Assuming Nvidia uses 3 GB GDDR7 modules, this GPU will offer 12 GB of memory on a 128-bit bus.
