As we all know, Intel has been raising prices on its Raptor Lake processors, and this increase was recently noted in South Korea too. Well, the news is not good, as these price hikes are continuing, and resellers in Hong Kong have also raised their selling prices, while some wholesalers have even halted deliveries.

Price hikes for Intel and AMD CPUs!

In detail, we learn that Intel and AMD CPU ranges are seeing their prices continue to rise. Twelfth-, thirteenth- and fourteenth-generation Core i CPUs continue to rise in price, while the same is true of AMD’s Ryzen 5000 CPUs.

Unfortunately, the underlying cause is not explicitly mentioned, but AI may have a role to play in this, driving up demand on the one hand. On the other, we can also imagine production lines turning more towards solutions for artificial intelligence.

For AMD, on the other hand, the cause could be different, as Ryzen 5000s are starting to age and stocks are gradually dwindling. Indeed, as the processors approach end-of-life, component shortages are looming over the series. Whatever the case, this is contributing to a price hike ranging from $5 to $20, depending on the store and part number.

By the way, not all CPUs are affected by these price hikes, no. Core Ultra 200 and Ryzen 9000 CPUs remain stable in price. However, while Ryzen 7000s have not been explicitly mentioned, it’s not unlikely that they won’t escape this price hike for much longer, given current market trends.
