While we’re on the subject of watercooling, it’s time to tell you about the new Alphacool waterblocks. The brand launches its Jet and Stream blocks, models dedicated to big sockets, but also to big CPUs.
Jet and Stream, Alphacool waterblocks for socket SP5 and LGA-4677!
Alphacool offers a total of three waterblocks for the LGA-4677 and SP5 (optional) platforms. These are imposing and measure 118.5 (W) x 75.50 (D) and 20.5 (H) mm for the 1U, the 2U model has a height of 23.50 mm. In all cases, they have a chrome-plated copper base with an acetal top. In addition, they have two threads in G1/4″.
These massive heatsinks also benefit from a high cooling capacity. For example, the Jet models are capable of dissipating up to 800W through an integrated nozzle system. This allows a better distribution of the liquid without disturbance, which improves the cooling. Note that the 2U version has its threads offset on top.
On the other hand, we have the Stream version which will be able to dissipate 600W, a bit less. But this is due to its ” flow-through ” design that allows a little more modularity in the layout of the pipes.
As for prices, all this little world is currently available for pre-order on the brand’s store. The ES Stream 1U costs 119,99 €. For their part, the Jet models cost €139.98 whether they are 1U or 2U.
