DeepCool is launching a new series of fans that we’ve already talked about on this site. The company is now offering its AK Digital series. As a reminder, this is a version with a digital display on top of the ventirad. A few minor design changes in the process!
AK Digital: DeepCool launches its new ventirad series!
With this new series, the brand is updating the design of its heatsinks. As you can see, they’re based on the “Zero Dark” design, with all-black fins and heatpipes. However, the upper part of the heatsink is now equipped with a digital display to indicate processor temperature. And on the sides, there are small RGB edgings.
DeepCool has “digitalized” its AK400, AK500 and AK620, giving us slim entry-level fans, thicker mid-range fans and double-tower fans for the high-end segment. Remember that the premium segment is occupied by the Assassin IV.
Finally, what interests us here are the selling prices. The AK400 Digital costs €44.99, compared with €69.99 for the AK500 Digital. Finally, the AK620 Digital is officially priced at €79.99. On paper, these prices don’t seem unreasonably high for heatsinks with a digital display. It remains to be seen whether retailers will respect these prices.
