Via the South Korean media QuasarZone we have access to the specifications and official photos of the next big fan from DeepCool. Yes, the Assassin IV is unveiled in Asia and it’s not a big deal. Clearly, it is a neat and high-end product!
Assassin IV: the cooler is unveiled in South Korea!
As a reminder, at DeepCool, the Assassin series represents the top of the range of the brand in terms of aircooling heatsinks. This fourth generation will be no exception. The design is again very neat with many fairings.
Nevertheless, it is also a dual-tower heatsink that offers a low impact on the memory. To achieve this, the second fan of the brand is not mounted at the front in push, but at the rear in pull. To do this, the blades are mounted “upside down” to provide the best possible performance!
This time, the technical data sheet is known and we know that this model will measure 144 (W) x 147 (H) x 164 (H) mm. Moreover, it will be a real heavyweight as it weighs 1575 g on the scale… Outch! Finally, the two cooling towers are crossed by a total of seven copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. Also, on the pictures, the base seems to be off-center on the side in order to limit the impact on the first PCIe of the motherboard.
To ensure the ventilation, we find two mills, one in 120 mm, the second in 140 mm. They will be able to turn in two modes of operation: quiet and performance. The selection is made via a switch directly integrated into the cpu cooler. Anyway, in terms of speed, airflow and static pressure, the brand mentions :

As for compatibility, this is a model that will mount on Intel platforms in LGA-1000 and LGA-2000. On the AMD side, we find support for AM4 and AM5 motherboards. Finally, we know that this cooling unit can dissipate up to 280W!
