ADATA has unveiled a bunch of new products, including next-generation DDR5 memory kits, which will be available by the end of this year. What makes these kits special is that they offer insane speeds with support for overclocking and more.
ADATA has announced that it will actually split its DDR5 memory line into two categories. One aimed at the general public, will retain the “ADATA” branding with speeds of up to 8,400 Mbps, which is up to 164% faster than existing DDR4 memory. The modules will operate at 1.1V and will have capacities of up to 64GB.
The XPG series on the other hand is synonymous with performance and is clearly targeted at enthusiasts and overclockers. On this series, from the launch we could have DDR5 transfer speeds up to 12600 Mbps with voltages between 1.1V-1.6V as well as ECC support on chip. For the launch of Alder Lake, the “classic” Adata kits will be available while the XPGs will arrive later. In addition to these two families of DDR5, XPG will also offer the CASTER range, which should have the same characteristics as the classic ADATA range, but with the addition of RGB.
