On Geekbench, we can discover an entry in the software database that highlights a Core Ultra 7 365K. The CPU in question appears to be a refresh model of the Core Ultra 7 265K. Broadly speaking, the displayed score is lower than that of the 265K, while the cache structure remains unchanged. A simple gain in frequency?
Core Ultra 7 365K: an Arrow Lake refresh for Intel?
When it comes to scores, there’s clearly nothing to jump up and down about. On the face of it, scores of 2140 pts in single-core and 19744 pts in multi-core are lower than the average scores of an Ultra 7 265K. In fact, the Blue’s current CPU averages 3030 pts in single-core vs. 20861 pts in multi-core… But there’s a “but” here, as we’re probably dealing with an engineered copy whose operation and performance will evolve positively.
However, what Geekbench shows is that the CPU doesn’t offer any drastic changes compared to the Core Ultra 200. The amount of L2 cache per core and the amount of L3 cache remain unchanged. Likewise, the CPU still boasts a total of 20 cores: 8 P-Core and 12 E-Core, while the base frequency remains at 3.9 GHz. Finally, we can expect a simple increase in operating frequency. Earlier rumors pointed to a performance boost on the NPU side to push it to 50 TOPS, but these claims seem to have fallen by the wayside.
At present, Intel’s plans are focused on Nova Lake, and we imagine that the blues are downplaying investment in this refresh. Some even wonder whether it will actually happen at all… Is it really relevant to propose a refresh soon of a CPU series that hasn’t done well, when Nova Lake is due to arrive next year?
