Let’s head for the Sama brand for a little case interlude. The company has announced its S50, a new reference with an original chassis and full ventilation. In terms of price, it doesn’t look particularly outrageous – let’s just say it’s within the acceptable range. In short, here’s an overview of what’s on offer with this new model.
S50: a new case from Sama!
An original chassis, but one that’s being used more and more:
The dimensions of this case are 235 (W) x 475 (D) x 426 (H) mm. Internally, we find an original layout, with the power supply unit installed lengthways at the front. However, as original as this internal layout may be, we find it at work in Geometric Future’s Model 5 or Gamemax NEX C53 and Gamdias’ Atlas M4, for example… With a few variations all the same. But with a few variations.
On the motherboard side, we find support for ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX format models. It will also be possible to mount cards with inverted connectors in ATX and micro-ATX formats. Otherwise, for the graphics card, this model offers 410 mm of free space in length, compared with 165 mm in height for the CPU cooler. Beware, however, as space is limited for the graphics card: only 180 mm deep.
The basic ventilation is complete, and the case comes with four fans: three on the front, one on the rear. But all in all, it benefits from eleven 120 mm slots, which translates into a 360 mm watercooling radiator support at the top.
For storage, we have the right to a board mounted behind the motherboard tray. This can accommodate three 3.5″ hard disks or four 2.5″ units.
Optional extras include a graphics card support and a hub for centralized management of six aRGB fans. Removal of the various panels is also tool-free.
An invoice at $109.90:
As far as the price is concerned, Sama’s S50 comes in at $109.90, an acceptable price for anyone looking for a case with an original chassis. What’s more, it comes in black and white, the two most popular colors in the PC hardware world.
