Acemagic announces a new machine with its Retro X3. This new configuration comes in a retro-style case. In fact, this seems to be a new trend. Between Silverstone and Thermaltake cases, this style is very much in vogue. In any case, the machine is equipped with the latest components.
Retro X3: a mini PC with a retro look from Acemagic!
This machine is a compact model measuring 128.2 mm wide by 44 mm high. Despite its ultra-compact size, the machine has everything you need to connect your devices. For example, it has six USB 3.2 ports coupled with a USB4 Type-C port. For networking, there is also a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, while WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the package. For video output, there is an HDMI 2.1 port and a DisplayPort 2.0 port.
Internally, the PC has an AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 processor equipped with eight Zen 4 cores. This is a rebranding of the Ryzen 7 8845HS. Of course, there is no dedicated graphics card, so you’ll have to rely on the RADEON 780M, which offers satisfactory performance for competitive or older games… As long as the title isn’t too demanding, it will run without too much difficulty. Finally, in terms of storage, there is an M.2 slot that allows for the installation of SSDs with up to 4TB of capacity. As for memory, support for 128GB of DDR5 at 5600 MT/s has been announced.
Cooling looks to be standard, with an air intake on the top of the machine and an exhaust on the side.
The Chinese prices are clearly attractive, with a listed price of $240 after conversion. Of course, this is for the barebone version, so it will be up to the user to choose their memory and storage space.
