With its Exo 1, the Geeek brand is launching pre-orders for a new micro-ATX case. But what makes this model unique is its open-air design. It is made of acrylic plates that can accommodate your components. What’s more, the price isn’t that crazy!
Exo 1: a compact, open-air case from Geeek!Â
With this new model, the case features an open-air design that can accommodate micro-ATX motherboards. Unfortunately, this model is not compatible with BTF cards. Otherwise, there are no limitations when it comes to CPU coolers. In theory, there are no size restrictions on the graphics card… But the brand recommends a maximum length of 335 mm to avoid covering the power button. Otherwise, four-slot cards are compatible. Finally, in terms of power supply, you can install ATX,SFX, and SFX-L units.
Of course, cooling options are limited, as there are only two 120 mm slots on the side of the motherboard tray. These will allow you to mount a 240 mm water cooling radiator… But that’s it. There is no possibility of mounting other fans either at the bottom or elsewhere in the case.
For storage, Geeek mentions the presence of a 3.5″/2.2″ storage slot with a thickness of 45 mm.
Finally, in terms of dimensions, we are talking about a model measuring 185 (W) x 400 (D) x 315 (H) mm. It also weighs in at a light 2 kg.
The listed price for this model is $69.90 for pre-order. For an additional $20, you can get a PCIe 4.0 x16riser for vertical mounting of your graphics card. Note that the first shipments will take place starting February 12.
